Job Description – Area Sales Manager

Position Title: Area Sales Manager

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager

Role Scope

This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering sales targets for the distributor and building sales-organization capability. Depending on business size, an appropriate number of Sales Executives may report to this role.

Major Responsibilities

  • Own sales targets for the assigned business.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with salon customers.
  • Execute new initiatives, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and objections not resolved by the team.
  • Manage and lead the team of Sales Executives.
  • Coach and guide Sales Executives to build long-term capability.
  • Own people processes for the team – recruitment, salary planning, rewards, training, and attrition management.

Skills Required

  • Strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • People-management experience (minimum 3–4 years).
  • Strong understanding of sales fundamentals and business fundamentals.
  • Geographical knowledge with experience managing a large territory.
  • Graduate with 10–12 years of experience; MBA preferred.
