About the Job

The Account Executive role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions with a specific focus on GST compliance, GSTR1 and GSTR3B filing, and TDS calculations and return filing. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of Indian tax laws.

Roles & Responsibilities

GST Compliance

  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return GSTR-9)
  • Reconcile GST input tax credit with GSTR-2B and purchase register
  • Maintain proper GST records and documentation
  • Handle GST payments and respond to GST notices

TDS Management

  • Calculate monthly TDS as per applicable sections of the Income Tax Act
  • Deduct TDS on vendor payments, salaries, and other applicable expenses
  • File quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.)
  • Issue TDS certificates (Form 16 & Form 16A) within deadlines

Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in accounting software (Tally/Zoho/ERP)
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and vendor reconciliations
  • Assist in monthly closing, trial balance, and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities
  • Coordinate with vendors for invoice and tax-related clarifications
  • Support management in decision-making with timely MIS reports

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter or equivalent

Experience: 1–3 years in accounting with hands-on experience in GST & TDS

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / accounting software
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, etc.)
  • Familiarity with online GST & Income Tax portals
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
