About the Job
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Intern to help grow our employer network and strengthen relationships with companies using our platform. This role goes beyond just lead generation—you’ll actively connect with HR leaders and founders, demonstrate our platform, and play a key role in converting prospects into long-term partners.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in B2B sales, account management, and product marketing, while directly contributing to the success and growth of Abekus. High performers will also be considered for a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Employer Acquisition: Identify and reach out to HRs, founders, and decision-makers to onboard companies and encourage them to post jobs on our platform.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Pitch premium plans, upsell higher-tier packages, and cross-sell additional features to maximize employer value.
- Client Success: Build strong relationships with employers, gather feedback, and act as the voice of the customer to improve the platform.
- Product Demos: Schedule and conduct Google Meet calls with employers to showcase platform features and answer queries.
- Presentations & Collateral: Prepare impactful decks, demos, and marketing materials to support sales conversations.
- Lead Generation via LinkedIn: Leverage a strong LinkedIn presence to connect with prospects and build a pipeline of leads.
- Market Research: Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and employer needs to refine sales strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills; comfortable leading client demo calls.
- Persuasive, confident, and customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Bonus: Have a strong, active LinkedIn profile and experience using it for lead generation.
- Bonus: Have prior experience in sales, business development, or B2B SaaS/HR-tech roles.
- Bonus: Are familiar with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, or similar).
