About the Job

As an Inventory Management and Retail Analytics Specialist at Vishal Mega Mart Limited, you will play a crucial role in controlling and reducing inventory shrink. By driving strong analytics, high-shrink reporting, trend and pattern identification, and timely action planning, you will strengthen the control environment, expedite mitigation actions, and improve stock accuracy across the retail network.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory data to identify shrink trends, patterns, high-risk stores, SKUs, and root causes
• Prepare and publish high shrink and variance reports with proper justification and insights
• Develop dashboards and automated exception reports for leadership review
• Monitor stock adjustments, cycle count results, stock reconciliation, negative inventory, expiries and damages
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for shrink, process gaps, pilferage, and operational failures; drive mitigation plans
• Work closely with Store Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and Loss Prevention teams for corrective actions
• Support audit and compliance requirements by ensuring proper documentation and process controls
• Enhance ERP-based controls, alerts, and workflows to strengthen inventory governance
• Provide actionable insights to reduce shrink and improve inventory accuracy
• Track closure of action plans and continuously monitor improvement effectiveness

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Inventory Management, stock processes, and control mechanisms
• Hands-on experience in Big Data Analytics and Advanced Excel
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP)
• MBA with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the retail industry
