AES Guidewire Senior Developer - BillingCenter Associate

Overview

Support the design, build, enhancement and production support of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions within PwC's Advisory practice, while learning and contributing to project tasks.

What you'll do

• Support Guidewire BillingCenter configuration tasks across insurance application enhancement and support work
• Participate in software development activities for BillingCenter functionality, including defect analysis, code updates and feature adjustments
• Collaborate on Guidewire integrations and system development efforts that connect BillingCenter with surrounding applications
• Review technical requirements and translate them into workable configuration and development tasks
• Assist with problem diagnosis, root cause analysis and issue resolution for deployed Guidewire solutions
• Use software development methodology and digital tooling to complete assigned work and track progress
• Contribute to testing activities, documentation updates and release readiness for BillingCenter changes
• Apply AI fluency and AI-human collaboration concepts to streamline repetitive development and support tasks

What you'll need

• Deep experience in BillingCenter and working knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and ContactManager
• GOSU, Guidewire Event and Rules Framework and Guidewire Web Services
• Good knowledge of XML and JSON formats and ANT, MAVEN and Gradle scripts
• Experience using tools such as SOAP UI and Postman and working with code repositories such as SVN and GIT
• Understanding of DevOps and build/deployment processes
• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 1-3 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Demonstrated abilities and extensive Application Managed Service projects and solutioning across the Guidewire Suite of applications on premises and SaaS, with proven success executing all aspects of complex engagements and achieving on-time and on-budget delivery
• Demonstrated abilities providing solution strategy and Application Evolution Services (AES, formerly AMS) delivery as a Senior Guidewire Developer, acting as a trusted advisor and thinking strategically about creating value with the Guidewire Suite
• Demonstrated abilities delivering Guidewire application solutions, navigating both business processes and enterprise solution perspectives with a holistic view
• Demonstrated abilities developing scalable and robust Guidewire solution strategies in a hybrid IT landscape (on premises and Cloud)
• Demonstrated abilities and/or a proven record in developing independently new market-differentiated Guidewire solutions and supporting proposal development efforts
• Capability to deliver Advisory-level work and discuss future enhancements in Guidewire roadmap discussions with the client
• With a focus on AES, expert abilities assisting clients in supporting Guidewire Suite solutions, improving business processes and taking a proactive approach to quality
• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Actuarial Science, Business Administration/Management, Business Analytics, Commerce, Computer and Information Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering & Accounting, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Engineering and Business, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management/Research, Risk Management, Software App, Statistics
• At least one of: Guidewire and Scrum Master Certification
• Coursework or internship exposure to Guidewire BillingCenter configuration
• Practicing Agile delivery methods and version control in team settings
• Applying analytical thinking to software issues and enhancement requests
• Communicating clearly with teammates and client-facing stakeholders
• Learning quickly in fast-paced application support environments
