AI Compliance Officer

Overview

Own and run Anthropic’s compliance program for frontier AI regulation, translating evolving obligations into operational controls.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain Anthropic’s compliance program for frontier AI regulation across EU AI Act and other in-scope global regimes.
• Own AI governance compliance policies and review regulator-facing documentation.
• Partner with Regulatory Legal on regulator engagement, regulatory strategy, and external communications.
• Define and maintain the compliance controls framework, including testing cadence and mapping to regulatory obligations.
• Lead second-line compliance controls, including testing and monitoring of AI governance controls.
• Present compliance status, metrics, and material risks to leadership and the Board on a regular cadence.
• Build and lead a small team as the program scales.

What you'll need

• Experience building or running a compliance program in a regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience operationalizing a complex regulatory regime end-to-end.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity with novel and evolving regulation.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators across jurisdictions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across legal, technical, and executive audiences.

Details

• Work location requirement: work from the Dublin office at least 3 days a week.
• Reporting line: reports to the Head of Integrity & Compliance.
