Analyst - Direct Tax

Overview

Young professional role assisting an experienced tax team with day-to-day direct tax compliances, with advisory and litigation support as needed. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Senior Manager - Taxation.

What you'll do

• Assist in managing direct tax compliances such as monthly TDS compliances, corporate tax returns, transfer pricing certificate and reports, advance tax, deferred tax, effective tax rate reconciliation, master file compliances and SFT filing.
• Assist in statutory audit and tax audit.
• Reconcile book revenue with Form 26AS and compute TDS to be claimed in the respective year's income-tax return.
• Assist in compiling details related to direct tax litigations.
• Monitor notices and various correspondence with the direct tax department.

What you'll need

• BCom/MCom (2-4 years) or CA Inter.
• Willingness to learn on the job.
• Relationship and networking skills of the best nature.
• Confidence in communication.

• Proactiveness and eagerness to learn new developments.

Nice to have

• Prior articleship or work experience in taxation.
