ARC Support Engineer - L3 ( Routing )

Overview

ARC Support Engineer - L3 (Routing) is an onsite individual-contributor break/fix role providing senior routing-focused technical support to restore customer services and minimize downtime.

What you'll do

• Lead troubleshooting on customer-reported issues.
• Isolate product issues at hardware/software level.
• Replicate customer environments in a lab and own/document communications between customers and engineering to deliver the final fix.
• Advocate for timely resolution by understanding the environment and business impact.
• Gain and apply in-depth knowledge of customer network topology, features, configurations, and service history to speed resolution.
• Partner with other services teams via customer reviews, network trainings, and by driving critical issues to resolution.
• Provide technical expertise during testing, deployment, and operational phases for ARC customers.

What you'll need

• B.E. in Electronics/Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the networking industry is required.
• Thorough customer handling and communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
• Strong understanding of Layer 3/IP and related technologies is required.
• Working knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) is required.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 technologies and multicast protocols (IGMP/IGMP-snooping/PIM) is required.
• Programming/scripting exposure is required (Perl/Python/Unix/Expect scripting).

Details

• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
• Work mode: Onsite (primarily work from an HPE office).
• There will be weekend coverage as per roster and pager rotation coverage.
• Products to be supported: Juniper Routing platforms (PTX, MX).
