Overview
Principal Engineer for Electronics Architecture and System Design, leading development of electronic systems and driving technical design decisions. Position is based in Irvine, United States.
What you'll do
- Develop robust electronics solutions by understanding system implications.
- Optimize power, thermal, mechanical, and electrical aspects to meet performance, cost, and reliability goals.
- Support servo-mechanical work including spindle/VCM design and related simulations.
- Design, simulate, and validate power and voltage regulator systems for accuracy, stability, thermal management, and ripple control.
- Set up and review power integrity and signal integrity analyses with internal teams and outside services.
- Collaborate with firmware teams to bring up and validate new devices and execute needs with new device and PCBA designs.
- Lead cross-functional teams and troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
What you'll need
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Relevant years of experience in electronics engineering focused on system architecture and design.
- Advanced knowledge of electronics architecture and system design principles.
- Proven track record leading complex electronic system design projects.
- Expertise in circuit design, analysis, and PCB layout.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity and EMC principles.
- Programming proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
