Assistant Vice President - Applied AI Engineer

Overview

Assistant Vice President - Applied AI Engineer designing and building core AI/ML solutions for enterprise AI capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and improve high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements and devise solution strategies.
• Lead unit testing practices to improve code design, readability, and reliability.
• Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Own AI subsystems spanning agentic workflows, LLM applications, evaluation pipelines, and MLOps tooling.
• Influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• 8+ years software engineering experience with at least 3 years building AI/ML systems, scalable ML infrastructure, or model serving platforms at enterprise scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, asyncio) and/or Go/Java, with production experience building APIs and microservices for high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems and LLM applications, including multi-agent orchestration and multi-step workflow deployment.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and modern agentic frameworks to build and optimize agent-based solutions.
• Working experience with GenAI/LLM systems including retrieval-augmented generation, model serving (vLLM), and OpenAI-compatible API surfaces.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture and event-driven architectures.
