Associate Sales Engineer, SE Desk - Southeast

Overview

Associate Sales Engineer on the SE Desk team, supporting customer engagements for Samsara’s connected operations technology.

What you'll do

• Conduct quick discovery on customer needs and answer technical questions in a single call.
• Provide demo/account coverage and temporary technical expertise across the Sales Team.
• Explain how Samsara devices are installed to prospects over the phone.
• Educate customers on technical aspects of APIs.
• Deploy scripts leveraging the Samsara API to a testing environment on demand.
• Translate technical feedback between product and sales teams and enroll customers in beta programs.
• Advocate for AEs, prospects, and customers during internal technical conversations.

What you'll need

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Preferred 1+ years experience working with customers in a pre-sales or support capacity.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Experience with cloud software, networking, automation and control systems (one of these).
• Experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.

Details

• Remote position with candidates residing in the Southeast region within the US, excluding specified areas.
• Relocation expenses will not be provided.
