Associate Sales Engineer, SE Desk - TOLA

Overview

Sales Engineer (SE) supporting customers with Samsara connected operations technology for IoT hardware, integrations, and deployment scenarios.

What you'll do

• Engage customers on logistics/supply chain, fleet maintenance, global asset management, diagnostics, system integration, and regulatory compliance.
• Explain Samsara’s IoT hardware and sensor solution technically to present the right technical offering.
• Demonstrate discovery and answer technical questions quickly, aiming to resolve needs within a single call.
• Provide standard demo/account coverage and temporary technical expertise across the Sales Team.
• Explain device installation sufficiently to prospects over the phone.
• Educate on APIs and deploy scripts using the Samsara API to a testing environment on demand.
• Serve as a liaison between product and sales, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

What you'll need

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Preferred: 1+ years of customer-facing pre-sales or support experience.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Experience in one of: cloud software, networking, automation and control systems.
• Plus: experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles.
