Overview
As an Automation Infrastructure Engineer on the Business Technology Operations team, you will design, automate, and maintain critical cloud and infrastructure systems that support global business operations.
What you'll do
- Work with other infrastructure engineers as part of the Operations team in Business Technology.
- Work on active infrastructure and DevSecOps support and projects.
- Maintain cross-platform system security across Linux and Windows environments through regular vulnerability remediation and automated patching.
- Work as part of a scrum team in a two-week sprint model.
- Drive end-to-end automation using AI tools, Ansible, Terraform, and native AWS automation services.
- Integrate and maintain operational solutions, including DataDog, PagerDuty, Slack, and Glean.
- Provision and automate tool deployments leveraging the AWS framework.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks related to the wider infrastructure team's needs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical service availability and incident response.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the AWS cloud platform, cloud networking, and Linux/Windows system administration.
- Hands-on experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with APIs, web services, and integration standards including REST, SOAP, JSON, and OAuth.
- Solid experience with CI/CD platforms and pipeline automation, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- An Agile, systematic problem-solving approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a sense of ownership, and personal drive.
- Ability to embrace and apply AI/ML concepts to the role for driving innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in an Agile environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented setting.
