CAD Engineer

Overview

CAD Engineer responsible for interpreting project details and producing AutoCAD/Inventor drawings and models used for manufacturing, communication, and ERP order processing.

What you'll do

• Interpret blueprints, details, hand sketches, and descriptions to create project-specific models and drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Create project-specific product layouts and details for customer and/or shop review.
• Review and enter engineered product orders into the ERP system.
• Perform quality control on completed drawings and orders prior to customer/subsequent manufacturing submittals.
• Convert 3D drawings into REVIT (BIM) ready documents.
• Make corrections based on customer-provided mark-ups and assist with design and field/site work as needed.

What you'll need

• Use AutoCAD and/or Inventor to produce isometric, 2-D, and 3-D drawings.
• AA degree required in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Inventor, REVIT, Adobe Reader (PDF), Word, and Excel.
• Ability to think and visualize in 3-D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
