Cloud Product Security Engineer

Overview

Build, integrate, and operate cloud security controls as software products across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and application services. Own the lifecycle of cloud security capabilities from design and implementation through production support.

What you'll do

• Design and operate cloud-native security controls across cloud and application services.
• Engineer CSPM and DLP capabilities to detect and reduce cloud risk.
• Build preventative, detective, and responsive controls for cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate security controls with SIEM and monitoring tools.
• Engineer detection logic, automation, and response mechanisms for incident handling.
• Apply infrastructure as code, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, application teams, and Digital Product Managers.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional software or security engineering experience.
• Hands-on ownership of production systems deployed in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or another modern programming language.
• Experience engineering security controls in AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with CSPM, data protection, or DLP capabilities.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, including identity, networking, storage, and compute.
• Experience with SIEM integration, detection logic, automation, or incident response workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with policy-as-code, drift detection, or automated remediation.
• Experience with data classification and cloud data protection strategies.
• Exposure to cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience with incident response or post-incident engineering.

• Remote in the United States.
• Annual compensation: $90,700–$195,700.
