Content Writer – SEO & AI Search

Overview

Lead SEO and AI-search content for Fresh Prints by owning the blog, on-site content, backlink strategy, and GEO (generative/LLM search) efforts.

What you'll do

• Plan, write, and publish a consistent blog cadence targeting high-value Greek life and custom apparel keywords.
• Create content that matches real search intent (guides, listicles, comparisons, how-tos).
• Maintain a content calendar for seasonal moments like fall recruitment and graduation.
• Optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and body copy across site pages.
• Identify internal linking opportunities and work with the tech team for correct SEO setup at launch.
• Develop and execute a backlink strategy, including pitching guest posts and resource articles.
• Build and iterate GEO strategy for AI-generated search citations on platforms like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a related field.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong writing quality and search performance.
• Hands-on SEO tool experience: Ahrefs, SEMrush, and/or Google Search Console (or equivalent).
• Understanding of on-page SEO best practices: keyword research, search intent mapping, headers, internal linking, and meta optimization.
• Ability to write in multiple formats (long-form guides, short blogs, product descriptions, and landing page copy).
• Comfort working as an individual contributor in a fast-moving environment.

Details

• Work mode: work from home/remote.
• Working hours: availability for meetings/emails/g-chats approximately 2 PM–10 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Compensation includes $700–$1,000 base plus $40 night-shift allowance per month.
