Core Operations - Senior Associate

Overview

Global cash operations Senior Associate handling day-to-day processing for assigned clients and portfolios, working with global Centres of Excellence, Client Operations and shared service teams.

What you'll do

• Perform cash reconciliation activities.
• Process settlements and support settlement accounting (statements and ledgers).
• Interpret the relation between payments and receipts and resolve breaks timely and accurately.
• Work in conjunction with team members, shared services and Client Operations to ensure seamless processing in line with fund policies.
• Achieve all assigned operational deliverables in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and operating procedures.
• Communicate with teams, fund groups and agent banks via email and phone within strict market cut-offs.

What you'll need

• Graduate with experience in investment banking, cash operations or settlements.
• Good understanding of the cash reconciliation process.
• Good understanding of the settlement process and accounting (statements and ledgers).
• Familiarity with the Trade Life Cycle and a fair understanding of different guidelines.
• Good understanding of NOSTRO and other payment systems (MT202, Fedwire).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messages (MT202, MT103, MT910, MT940).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Focused approach.
• Risk mitigation.
• Good logical and reasoning skills.
• Escalation management.

Nice to have

• FX settlement knowledge.
• Working knowledge of reconciliation tools such as Intellimatch.
