Counsel, IP Compliance

Overview

Attorney role focused on IP Compliance and legal support related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), reporting to the Director of IP Compliance.

What you'll do

• Analyze laws and regulations on AI to understand their impact on the company.
• Collaborate across functions on AI governance and risk assessments.
• Provide strategic IP Compliance analysis and advice to internal clients.
• Support IP-related internal investigations.
• Develop and deliver training on IP Compliance topics.
• Assist with IP-related onboarding for high-risk candidates to minimize unauthorized confidential disclosures.
• Participate in IP-related offboarding for high-risk terminations to protect confidential information and trade secrets.

What you'll need

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school (top 50 law school preferred).
• Membership in one state bar.
• 2-3+ years of experience as an attorney at a top law firm and/or as an in-house attorney in technology.
• Knowledge of trade secret and patent law.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts related to AI, storage, semiconductor, and computing industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking with attention to detail.
• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
