Overview

D&T Manager – Data Scientist to lead a Data Science team and shape core machine learning strategies, delivering intelligent AI solutions for General Mills functions.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement AI and ML strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead AI solution delivery with business stakeholders to produce insights and intelligent solutions.
• Collaborate with ML and systems engineers to deploy models in a scaled and optimized way.
• Manage post-production support to proactively handle model performance degradation.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance machine learning capabilities.
• Provide AI literacy and mentorship, educating stakeholders on AI practices.
• Manage data scientists team performance, goal setting, skill management, and timely staffing.

What you'll need

• 12+ years overall experience, with 8+ years in providing data science solutions.
• Experience in people management, handling a team size of 8–10 members.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
• Proven skills in leading implementations of AI solutions.
• Technical concepts including ML algorithms, ML Ops, and data lineage/visualization.
• Agile development experience with sprints, point estimation, and daily stand-ups.
• Excellent stakeholder management and storytelling skills.
