Overview
Data Analyst for the Payment Integrity team, turning healthcare claims and operational/financial data into actionable insights to improve audit performance and operational excellence.
What you'll do
- Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
- Build analytics for provider outreach effectiveness, response tracking, and follow-up performance.
- Monitor and improve audit lifecycle SLAs, turnaround time (TAT), queue aging, throughput, and productivity metrics.
- Reconcile invoices by validating recoveries, fees, payments, billing outputs, and reporting accuracy.
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
- Create automated recurring reports and respond with ad hoc analysis based on changing priorities.
- Perform root cause analysis for missed recoveries, SLA breaches, provider abrasion, operational delays, and reporting variances.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of data analytics/business intelligence experience, preferably healthcare claims or payment integrity analytics.
- Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, CTEs, stored procedures, optimization, and large dataset handling.
- Strong hands-on Python expertise for automation, reporting workflows, data transformation, and advanced analytics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills including pivots, lookups, formulas, data validation, and dashboards.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Ability to ensure reporting accuracy and reconcile numbers to maintain trust in published metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, S3, EC2, and Textract.
- Strong experience in payment integrity operations and healthcare claims data.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
- Experience using Jira for tracking requests, sprint planning, and workflow management.
- Should be able to commute/relocate to Hyderabad (Nacharam), Telangana before starting work (preferred).
