Data Analyst

Overview

Data/Business Analyst responsible for analyzing current data and systems, documenting requirements, and producing user stories that support delivery, testing, and integration design.

What you'll do

• Analyze as-is data structures and map them to to-be data structures.
• Write high quality, testable user stories with details needed for estimation and developer delivery.
• Define inputs for test automation and support test execution via documented user story criteria.
• Analyze, understand, and document existing system behavior for integration, including data mapping and transformation.
• Identify system features and data requirements and document them for integration design.
• Identify business value and communicate and advocate it to keep delivery focused on business needs.
• Analyze business processes and requirements and produce clear documentation for business and technical audiences.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a data/business analyst working with software engineers and business SMEs in an agile environment.
• Experience ideally as part of a DevOps model.
• Experience producing data mapping documentation, including data cleansing and transformation criteria.
• Experience producing user stories for hybrid cloud environments with acceptance criteria and exception processes.
• Experience supporting development teams and assisting testers with test scenarios and test automation using BDD/TDD or similar approaches.
• Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence and SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mainframe and RDBMS platforms.
• Technical experience with Private and Public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Domain Driven Development.
