Overview
Build and maintain data systems including pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to keep data accurate, accessible, and secure.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data architectures and pipelines for durable, complete, consistent data processing.
- Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes with required security measures.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms for the intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Lead and supervise a team by guiding work allocation and coordinating team resources.
- Take responsibility for team operational processing, risk management, and policy/procedure breach escalation.
- Influence decision-making within your area of expertise using analysis and detail-oriented judgments.
What you'll need
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in your assigned area of expertise.
- Proven experience in Teradata warehouse design, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Teradata architecture, utilities, workload management, and performance tuning.
- Experience assessing and transforming legacy Teradata workloads for cloud-based platforms.
- Strong SQL development and advanced query analysis skills.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise data warehouses and data integration solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline development.
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon S3.
- Experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Redshift.
- Understanding of IAM and security fundamentals.
- Experience with Snowflake architecture and virtual warehouses.
- Experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, and Spark fundamentals.
- Experience with batch and streaming data processing.
