Data Engineer - AVP

Overview

Data Engineer (AVP) hands-on engineering role supporting Research Analysts by building production-grade data infrastructure and data products on the data stack.

What you'll do

• Compile and analyze data to support Analysts in developing investment theses.
• Build and maintain Snowflake data infrastructure and integrate it with the broader data stack.
• Develop and manage pipelines for research analysis and client-consumed data products.
• Ensure data quality by managing pipeline dependencies and implementing tests.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data infrastructure observability.
• Productionize models and data analyses and deploy them to the production environment.
• Lead/define CI/CD practices for data pipelines and Snowflake objects across dev/test/prod.

What you'll need

• Strong experience with Snowflake.
• Strong experience in writing SQL.
• Strong experience working with Python.
• Strong understanding of data pipelining and automation for data extraction and code change management.
• Experience with CI/CD for data platforms and environment promotion.
• Experience with data visualization and data analytics using Tableau/Power BI (or similar BI tool) as a value add.
• Knowledge of working with big data sets on AWS using Presto/Spark/Athena.

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Snowflake Tasks, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Experience with large scale text data or geolocation data.
• Prior experience in ML/AI model deployment.
