Overview
Data Scientist on Zillow’s Partner Analytics team within Business Data, leading analytics and machine learning to uncover insights for business and customer outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead design, development, and deployment of end-to-end analytical and machine learning solutions.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to frame hypotheses and define success metrics.
- Build, validate, and maintain scalable data pipelines, features, and models for production reliability and performance.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities.
- Apply experimentation and evaluation practices such as A/B testing, backtesting, and error analysis.
- Contribute to standards, documentation, and best practices for data quality, model governance, and responsible use of data and AI.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience applying data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning in a professional setting.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end analytical or ML solutions including preparation, feature engineering, development, validation, and operationalization.
- Experience with large datasets and modern data ecosystems to develop insights and data products.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver measurable outcomes using data and analytics.

- For California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC: base pay range is $125,900.00 - $201,100.00 annually.
- For Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia: base pay range is $119,600.00 - $191,000.00 annually.
