Data Scientist

Overview

Use data analytics and machine learning to extract insights from the bank’s data, build predictive models, and support strategic decision-making.

What you'll do

• Identify, collect, and extract data from internal and external sources.
• Clean, wrangle, and transform data to make it suitable for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated acquisition and processing.
• Design and conduct statistical and machine learning models to analyze patterns and trends.
• Develop predictive models to forecast outcomes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to create value from data through data science.

What you'll need

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science (or similar) or equivalent commercial experience.
• Work across the data science lifecycle with senior stakeholders from idea inception to production delivery.
• Translate technical work into business terms and communicate value to stakeholders.
• Apply machine learning techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, and NLP to generate business value.
• Write close-to-production code with strong coding principles like separation of concerns and generalisation.
• Strong experience with Python and SQL (must).
• Familiarity with AWS data science and AI services including SageMaker and Bedrock.

Nice to have

• Experience with front end development frameworks such as Angular/React.
• Experience with Flask/Streamlit.
• Experience with MVC architecture.
• Experience working in a big data environment using PySpark.
