Data Tester

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Tester to join our team in Hyderabad in a hybrid setup. This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience in ETL and data testing, who can own validation across complex data flows and ensure the quality of warehouse and BI outputs.

What you'll do

• Validate end-to-end ETL pipelines and data transformations across source-to-target systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to perform data reconciliation, completeness checks, and accuracy validation.
• Build and maintain test automation using Python or Shell for repeatable data checks.
• Work with data warehouse platforms, GCP, and BI layers to identify defects and support release readiness.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to integrate testing into CI/CD workflows and improve overall data quality.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in data testing or ETL testing.
• Strong command of SQL and practical experience in data validation and reconciliation.
• Hands-on exposure to GCP is mandatory.
• Experience with data warehouse environments, ETL tools, and test automation using Python/Shell.
• ISTQB certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices in data engineering or QA pipelines.
