Director, Procurement (12-month contract)

Overview

Director responsible for leading enterprise procurement and vendor management, including strategy, sourcing, negotiations, supplier governance, reporting, and team leadership.

What you'll do

• Execute procurement plans, category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and savings roadmaps.
• Lead complex sourcing engagements, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Negotiate pricing, service levels, liability, risk allocation, implementation commitments, and renewal protections.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, due diligence, performance reviews, remediation, escalations, and renewal decisions.
• Manage procurement trackers, contract pipelines, renewal calendars, spend reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Lead, coach, develop, and prioritize work for Procurement team members.

What you'll need

• 12 or more years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial contracting experience.
• At least five years of procurement experience in financial services.
• Experience negotiating IT agreements covering SaaS, AI, cloud, hardware, telecom, and professional services.
• Experience developing category strategies, leading competitive sourcing, and delivering measurable savings.
• Advanced analytical and financial skills, including spend analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and dashboards.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with CLM, ERP, source-to-contract, or procurement platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Formal team-management experience.
• Experience implementing or optimizing procurement platforms.
• Relevant master's degree or designation such as SCMP or CPSM.

• Remote role based in Hyderabad.
