EHS Manager

Overview

Develop, organize, administer, and maintain the company’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) program. Lead safety, incident investigation, training, reporting, and compliance initiatives with a goal of continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

• Act as the authority for Environmental, Health & Safety, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.
• Coach the leadership team on safe behaviors, conditions, and techniques to improve safety culture.
• Develop, implement, and ensure EH&S training is maintained.
• Complete and review Job Hazard/Safety Analysis (JHA/JSA) for facility jobs and work tasks.
• Lead daily Lean Safety Gemba activities to review and identify hazards in production areas.
• Lead near miss and accident investigation processes and communicate root-cause actions within 48 hours.

What you’ll need

• Have 3–5 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar roles OR 5–10 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar roles.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or a similar degree.
• Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and influence skills.
• Be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Have knowledge of EPA (Environmental) and OSHA (Occupational Safety) and similar regulations and reporting.
• Have OSHA 30 General Industry, environmental, and occupational safety certifications (preferred, not required).

Details

• Automotive or similar manufacturing background is preferred.
• Must maintain EMS ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) program.
• Must implement and maintain OHS ISO 45001 (Occupational Safety & Health) program.
