Overview
As a Principal Electrical Engineer within Vacuum Products, lead the design and development of embedded electronic hardware platforms for precision flow, pressure, and process control solutions in industrial and semiconductor applications. Partner with firmware, systems, quality, and product management teams to develop electronic solutions from concept through production and report to the Director of Engineering.
What you'll do
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of mixed-signal embedded electronic systems for industrial instrumentation products.
- Design precision analog, low-noise sensor interface, and power management circuitry for measurement and control applications.
- Develop microcontroller-based hardware supporting Analog I/O, RS-485, EtherCAT, Modbus/TCP, PROFINET, and other industrial communication interfaces.
- Drive schematic capture, component selection, design reviews, PCB layout oversight, laboratory validation, and root-cause analysis.
- Lead compliance-focused design activities to meet EMC and regulatory requirements, including ESD, EFT, conducted/radiated emissions, and immunity standards.
- Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to optimize system performance.
- Mentor engineers.
- Support products from concept through production.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience designing embedded electronic hardware and PCB-based systems for industrial or commercial products.
- Strong mixed-signal design experience, including low-noise analog, sensor signal conditioning, and microcontroller-based systems.
- Deep understanding of closed-loop control systems, including sensor interfaces, measurement accuracy, control performance, and system-level optimization.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and compliance testing.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Master's degree.
- Experience developing embedded electronic systems for industrial instrumentation, automation, sensing, or control applications.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus/TCP, PROFINET, CAN, or RS-485.
- Experience with closed-loop control systems, EMI/EMC design practices, and regulatory compliance testing.

- Location: Bangalore Whitefield, India.
- Work is performed in office and engineering laboratory environments.
- Sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Use laboratory equipment and occasionally lift and move electronic equipment or test fixtures up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly use electronic test equipment and prototype hardware for product development, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
