Engineer - Infrastructure Services N 4A

Overview

Engineer responsible for infrastructure services, cloud architecture, operating system images, automation, application deployment, troubleshooting and infrastructure operations across AWS and Azure environments.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain OS images for AWS and Azure Cloud Services in accordance with security and standards.
• Write solution design documents.
• Present solution definition documentation to the Architecture Review Council.
• Design architecture using a high-availability and security-first approach.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot middleware technologies.
• Manage application deployment.
• Perform technology refreshes from obsolete to new versions.
• Refactor applications from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Design clusters.
• Perform data backup and restore.
• Develop standard operating procedure documents for build, migration and decommission processes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Database Management, Information Systems, Information Technology or Network Engineering.
• Certified Cloud Azure or AWS SysOps Administrator certification, or Certified Cloud Azure or AWS Solution Architect certification.
• Good experience in a DevOps environment, infrastructure operations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Good experience with cloud core services, including Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Good experience with Python and cloud APIs.
• Good experience with Ansible, Chef and Terraform.
• Good experience in database management, including SQL, NoSQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with OS image hardening, container image hardening and image galleries.
• Experience with automated configuration management tooling.
• Exposure to containerization technologies.
• Deep understanding of incident management and ITIL foundations.
• Deep understanding of troubleshooting all areas of a workload.
• Strong knowledge of software quality control and assurance, analytical and reasoning skills.
• Good knowledge of data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act.
• Experience in ITIL processes.
• Certification in Microsoft Administration.
• Strong experience in a DevOps environment, infrastructure operations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• English language proficiency at Proficient - C2 level.

Nice to have

• Associate-level Cloud Azure or AWS Solution Architect certification is required; Professional certification is appreciated.
