Engineer - Software (C#)

Overview

Software Engineer (C#) for Eaton’s Advanced Distribution Planning System (ADPS) platform in Pune, India, working as part of a multidisciplinary development team.

What you'll do

• Analyze technical specifications and engineering requirements for the ADPS platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, testable, reusable, reliable code using modern .NET and C#.
• Review pull requests and advocate for software development best practices.
• Develop and execute unit tests and collaborate with QA on automated testing.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and SCRUM ceremonies.
• Assess emerging technologies and development tools, including AI-driven productivity solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of modern C# programming experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud technologies.
• Experience with Jira and GitHub (or similar tools).
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/Engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, LINQ, and databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database (or other RDBMS).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with Entity Framework.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus, Kafka).
• Some experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure Devops).
