Engineering Manager, Data Engineering

Overview

Engineering Manager for Data Engineering to lead a team building scalable, reliable, high-performance data platforms for analytics, machine learning, and operational reporting.

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a Data Engineering team through coaching and career development.
• Drive design, development, and optimization of batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Partner to improve data architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Conduct technical design reviews and guide modern data engineering best practices.
• Own delivery of data engineering initiatives from planning through production deployment.
• Define priorities and delivery roadmaps with Product, Analytics, Data Science, Platform, DevOps, and Architecture.
• Establish standards for data quality, observability, monitoring, testing, governance, and documentation.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 3+ years leading Data Engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience designing and building scalable data platforms and distributed data processing systems.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar data technologies.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Cloud platform experience: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and data security best practices.
