Overview
Join the team as a Full Stack Engineer working on a CRM platform, a large-scale enterprise application with a PHP-based backend and a React/TypeScript micro-frontend monorepo. Contribute to evolving parts of the system toward a microservices architecture, including newly built Kotlin-based backend services.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain features across the existing React and TypeScript frontend and PHP backend codebase.
- Contribute to GraphQL schema design, resolvers, and Apollo Client/Server integration.
- Build and maintain shared UI components within the monorepo, including ui-kit and related packages, following existing architectural patterns.
- Design, build, and maintain new Java/Kotlin backend microservices, working closely with the tech lead on service boundaries and API contracts.
- Write unit, integration, and E2E tests using Playwright and Cypress to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting across the stack.
- Collaborate with the tech lead and team.
- Follow established coding standards, CI/CD practices, and deployment workflows.
What you'll need
- 4–8 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, including component design and state management patterns.
- Experience with GraphQL, including schema, queries/mutations, and Apollo, and/or REST API integration.
- Working knowledge of PHP or willingness/ability to quickly ramp up on an existing PHP codebase.
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin, or a strong JVM background such as Java/Spring, with willingness to work in Kotlin, for backend service development.
- Familiarity with monorepo tooling such as Turborepo, Nx, or similar, and package managers like pnpm.
- Understanding of relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Oracle, and writing efficient queries.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, code review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of unit, integration, and E2E testing practices using tools like Vitest, Jest, or Cypress.
Nice to have
- Exposure to microservices concepts, including API gateways, service-to-service auth, and event-driven communication.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot for Kotlin service development.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
