Intern - Software Developer (Python, Full stack)

Overview

Join Airbus as a Junior Developer Intern on the Digital team, working alongside experienced developers on the design, development and maintenance of software applications.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Assist in the design and development of software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Engage in all phases of product development (DevOps and Agile mind-set) to keep the Airbus IT landscape running smoothly, reliably and efficiently.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Full Stack development and the Software Development Life Cycle, with the agility to transition between front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python).
• Knowledge of web development technologies such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with software development projects or internships.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Basic understanding of Unix/Linux/Windows servers.
• Basic understanding of Cloud and DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of code analysis tools and IDEs.
• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
