Internal - Technician IV (Maintenance Lead) – Tire Build

Overview

Lead maintenance technician in the tire build area, managing a multi-craft team and driving zero-breakdown maintenance.

What you'll do

• Manage and lead the multi-craft technician team toward a zero-breakdown culture.
• Make decisions on equipment downtime actions and schedule multi-craft technicians according to PMs.
• Promote and monitor safety across the area and in the plant.
• Promote, train, and mentor TPM/PM concepts and problem solving (CBS, 5 why, clean, inspect, repair).
• Monitor execution of PM tasks and work orders; follow up on completion and quality.
• Complete the daily maintenance shift report and escalate unresolved technical issues after 2 hours of consecutive downtime.

What you'll need

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance within a production environment.
• Flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet maintenance and production needs.
• Broad technical background including production mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, electronic devices, and machining/grinding.
• Ability to monitor assigned engineering maintenance area for early intervention on maintenance issues.
• Ability to coach the maintenance team regarding ongoing training needs.
