IT Support Engineer

Overview

Field engineer role installing, repairing and maintaining product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises, ensuring systems operate as designed and customers receive timely, effective service.

What you'll do

• Serve as Field Engineer for specific clients and/or specific products and applications, including tech kiosks / desks.
• Provide software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices.
• Install and maintain PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices.
• Support network products from operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities.
• Perform installs, moves, adds and changes as required.
• Test and certify PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications.
• Provide follow-up on problems or escalations.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
• Meet SLA requirements and ensure client satisfaction in all interactions.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• May require technical certification or Associate Degree.
• Generally 1-2 years' experience in area of responsibility.
