Junior Consultant – Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing & Red Teaming

Overview

Junior Consultant for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing (VAPT), and red teaming in client cybersecurity engagements.

What you'll do

• Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across web, mobile, network, infrastructure, cloud, internal/external networks, and wireless environments.
• Perform reconnaissance, enumeration, vulnerability identification, and validation.
• Assist with exploitation and post-exploitation activities within approved engagement scopes.
• Support red team and adversary simulation engagements under guidance from senior team members.
• Undertake approved activities such as attack-path identification, initial access, privilege escalation, and lateral movement.
• Document findings and prepare VAPT/red team reports with evidence, reproduction steps, risk ratings, impact, and remediation recommendations.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, VAPT, security testing, or a related technical role.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Tenable Nessus/OpenVAS, Wireshark, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and/or OWASP ZAP.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities.
• One or more certifications such as CEH, eJPT, PNPT, Security+, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Exposure to cloud security testing across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
