Junior Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting

Overview

Junior Financial Analyst role in Cost Accounting Solutions, based in Chennai, supporting cost accounting activities and month-end processes.

What you'll do

• Perform all cost accounting activities that are defined
• Understand the corporate policy and follow up on key cost accounting metrics
• Implement time-saving and cost-reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens and process improvements
• Work along with the operations team and track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow-ups
• Post month-end journal entries related to accruals and reclass in ERP
• Prepare and maintain SOPs in line with the latest process and document them in DMS
• Learn and serve as a backup for the cost accountant

What you'll need

• Basic level knowledge of MS applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Good team player with analytical skills
• Willingness to learn and deploy skills learnt in day-to-day processes
• B.Com, BBA (Finance), M.Com or MBA (Finance)
• Freshers or 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Good knowledge of accounting principles
• Understand and interpret accounting policies
