Lead Cloud Engineer

Overview

Lead Cloud Engineer on Sabre's Technology Engineering team, providing technical leadership, creating runbooks and reliability SOPs, and mentoring team members on technical operations best practices.

What you'll do

• Build and manage a container platform with GKE on GCP.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Product, other SRE and support teams, to roll out new features.
• Manage the lifecycle of GKE add-ons, including Anthos Service Mesh, security tools, instrumentation and observability.
• Implement best practices to meet internal SLA/SLO targets for the platform.
• Provide technical leadership to the team, create comprehensive runbooks, and develop reliability Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Guide and mentor team members in implementing best practices in technical operations.

What you'll need

• 3-4 years of experience in Kubernetes platform.
• 3-4 years of scripting/automation experience in Python or Shell.
• 2-3 years of experience with Terraform.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of GKE and GCP services.
• Prior experience handling large-scale Kubernetes platforms.
