Overview
Lead Consultant role focused on building Snowflake-native ML platforms and Cortex AI agentic systems to power production analytics and decision-making for AstraZeneca’s US rare disease portfolio.
What you'll do
- Define end-to-end ML platform architecture on Snowflake using Snowpark and Cortex AI.
- Build model pipelines that move experiments to production within Snowflake using Cortex inference and containers.
- Engineer resilient batch and streaming data workflows, including feature stores and lineage.
- Implement production operations with reliability, performance, cost optimization, and observability.
- Design agentic AI systems with boundaries between autonomous execution and human oversight.
- Develop prompt architectures, agent skills/memories, and context injection patterns for Cortex AI.
- Set testing, validation, and release practices for models and agent-generated code.
What you'll need
- 6–10+ years in Data Engineering, MLOps, or ML Platform roles.
- At least 3+ years building advanced data science or large-scale analytics solutions on Snowflake.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake components including Snowpark (Python & Scala), Snowpark Containers, Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks, Model Registry, and event tables.
- Strong proficiency with Snowflake Cortex AI services such as Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Fine-Tuning, and embedding generation.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in TypeScript/JavaScript or systems languages like Go or Rust.
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) and containerization (Docker for Snowpark Containers).
- Solid understanding of security and compliance for healthcare data in Snowflake, including RBAC and dynamic masking.
