Lead Systems Support Engineer

Overview

Lead systems support operations for complex application systems, focusing on stability, availability, incident management, DevOps, and client-facing problem-solving. Lead and mentor team members while delivering operational improvements and technical solutions.

What you'll do

• Debug business-impacting issues across complex application systems.
• Manage incidents, monitoring metrics, reports, and corrective actions.
• Use logging, alerting, and monitoring to identify incident root causes.
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Deploy and run software using continuous delivery and DevOps practices.
• Mentor less-experienced peers through technical and leadership guidance.
• Analyze performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.

What you'll need

• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Buildkite, or Azure Pipelines.
• Strong debugging, triaging, communication, and client-influencing skills.
• Comfort with Agile methods and rotation-based 24x7 availability.
