Maintenance Electrician Specialist

Overview

Maintenance Electrician Specialist working on industrial process equipment and plant electrical infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections.

What you'll do

• Layout, install, and maintain industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire complicated circuits.
• Repair electrical control circuits by disassembling units and replacing/troubleshooting components.
• Diagnose parts to replace or repair and make electrical adjustments.
• Inspect machinery to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and modify programs.

What you'll need

• 5 years of experience in general maintenance, with 3 years electrical-specific.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
• Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
• Knowledge of the national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
• Must be able to plan and perform unusual and difficult work with only general methods available.
• Ability to perform general air conditioning service work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Performs minor welding as part of the role.
