Overview
Maintenance Electrician Specialist working on industrial process equipment and plant electrical infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections.
What you'll do
- Layout, install, and maintain industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure.
- Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire complicated circuits.
- Repair electrical control circuits by disassembling units and replacing/troubleshooting components.
- Diagnose parts to replace or repair and make electrical adjustments.
- Inspect machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and modify programs.
What you'll need
- 5 years of experience in general maintenance, with 3 years electrical-specific.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
- Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
- Knowledge of the national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
- Must be able to plan and perform unusual and difficult work with only general methods available.
- Ability to perform general air conditioning service work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
