Manager Data Scientist

Overview

Manager Data Scientist role in Baxter India’s Data Science team focused on advanced analytics, machine learning, agentic AI, and data-driven insights to improve financial forecasting and budget planning.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to forecast business KPIs.
• Build automated process optimization and reporting systems using AI.
• Design variance analysis frameworks to identify financial performance drivers.
• Run scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling for strategic initiatives.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish data quality standards and governance for financial analytics.
• Mentor junior team members and promote data-driven decision-making.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12+ years of progressive AI/Data Science experience.
• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience building AI/ML models for the financial domain.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML projects in enterprise environments for finance.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying forecasting (statistical and ML-based) for financial metrics.
• Experience working with large-scale financial transactional datasets and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (required).
