Mechanical Engineer I - Test Equipment

Overview

Mechanical Engineer I on the Test Equipment team, designing and maintaining mechanical test systems for Raytheon products. Onsite role, U.S. citizenship and security clearance required.

What you'll do

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Education and/or experience with project work in one or more of the following: mechanical/electronic sub-systems packaging, material selection, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Nice to have

• Completion of 1 internship in a related field
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric
• Experience with creating design drawing packages
• Experience in Model Based Engineering or Model Based Design

• Salary range: 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD
