Network Engineer

Overview

Join Optiver as a Network Engineer in Mumbai, supporting the design, operation, and improvement of enterprise and trading networks in a high-frequency trading environment.

What you'll do

• Support infrastructure for a high-frequency trading environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network, security, and systems incidents.
• Automate and monitor network infrastructure to improve reliability.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure across data centres, offices, and global WAN environments.
• Manage WAN connectivity between data centres and colocations.
• Optimise capacity, connectivity, traffic flows, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and hardware engineers.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience as a network engineer in an operational environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN, and firewall infrastructure.
• Experience monitoring and operating international WAN networks.
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, and Multicast.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments such as Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto.
• Knowledge of L2/L3 networking, firewalls, and network security.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, network telemetry, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Git, Terraform, or Ansible.

Nice to have

• Arista ACE, PCNSE, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
