PLT Bead Room Set Up Tech

Overview

PLT Bead Room Set Up Tech sets up and adjusts bead winding and bead building equipment to specifications for quality and production, trains others, and maintains machine efficiency through checks and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

• Setup and adjust bead winding and Apex bead machines to specifications for quality and production.
• Train individuals on how to make set-ups and support required department training.
• Use electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to set up, detect, adjust, and correct equipment.
• Make drum changes per schedule and adjust drums for Conti Filler machines as directed.
• Supervise and audit first beads after set-up changes and approve for production.
• Troubleshoot machines, make adjustments, and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate daily machine records and communicate malfunctions to TPM, Floor Supervisor, and other Setup Technicians.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required; no employment visa sponsorship.
• Environment safety procedures must be always adhered to, including hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
• Ability to perform work in a non-climate controlled environment exposed to temperature swings, forklift/pedestrian traffic, and noise.
