PLT Plant IV Tire Room Setup Tech

Overview

Set up and adjust passenger tire building machines for Plant IV’s tire room, including equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and first-tire audits for production approval.

What you'll do

• Set up and adjust passenger tire building machines.
• Perform machine checks and alignment.
• Correct and adjust equipment using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge.
• Make scheduled drum changes and drum set adjustments.
• Audit and oversee first-tire builds after equipment changes and approve for production.
• Troubleshoot assigned machines, monitor efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• Maintain daily machine records and report malfunctions to supervisors and managers.
• Carry out routine scheduled M.T.C. checks and corrections.
• Ensure ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic areas for equipment setup and corrections.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment (hearing protection, steel toe shoes).

• May be required to work shifts that include evenings and weekends.
