Overview
As a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer supporting U.S. Air Force and federal defense customers, you will translate mission and technology requirements into innovative data-storage solutions. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process and demonstrate how the Everpure portfolio can deliver secure, scalable, and measurable business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Build a deep understanding of U.S. Air Force and federal customers’ missions, priorities, technical environments, and decision criteria.
- Connect Everpure solutions and ecosystem technologies to customer outcomes across enterprise storage, distributed architectures, file systems, cloud, and modernization initiatives.
- Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to shape account strategy, create a seamless customer experience, and drive revenue growth and net-new business.
- Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, proofs of concept, and system configurations.
- Translate customer requirements into compelling solution designs.
- Develop and deliver clear, persuasive technical presentations and architecture discussions that establish the technical win with customers and prospective accounts.
- Provide technical leadership on storage products and competitive offerings across DAS, NAS, SAN, FC, iSCSI, and software-defined or distributed storage environments.
- Capture customer requirements and identify opportunities for interoperability, functional testing, performance validation, roadmap alignment, and joint planning.
- Contribute to RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.
- Collaborate with product and technical marketing on customer-facing materials and differentiated solution positioning.
- Stay current on market trends, competitors, cloud-native architectures, and emerging technologies to promote technical thought leadership.

What you'll need
- Demonstrated pre-sales experience supporting enterprise technology customers.
- Five or more years of relevant experience across technology, solution design, technical communications, or a related field.
- Experience supporting the sale of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software solutions to enterprise or federal customers.
- Strong understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures, including scale-out and scale-up environments.
- Knowledge of modern cloud-native architectures, on-premises and public-cloud environments, provisioning automation, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Experience with storage architectures and protocols such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NAS, object or software-defined storage, and SAN.
- Working knowledge of Linux, NFS file systems, distributed computing environments, VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle databases.
- Ability to lead technical discovery, translate business needs into solution architectures, and communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience targeting new prospects, developing relationships, and helping convert opportunities into customers.
- Curiosity, technical passion, and the ability to explain and demonstrate emerging platforms and concepts with confidence.

- Experience supporting U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, or other federal customers.

- The annual base salary range is $141,400 — $212,100 USD.
- The role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
