Overview
PLC / Automation & Controls Engineer for the Sunshine Sputter Platform, responsible for electrical architecture, PLC software development, and automation integration of advanced PVD/CVD vacuum coating equipment.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Siemens PLC software for sequence control and process automation.
- Design electrical schematics, I/O architecture, control cabinets, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Integrate and commission vacuum-related and control subsystems including pumps, gauges, RF power supplies, servo systems, and temperature controllers.
- Support equipment startup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and sustaining engineering for uptime and reliability.
- Design low-voltage power distribution systems and select electrical components for control cabinets.
- Prepare and maintain electrical documentation such as control specifications, electrical BOMs, wiring manuals, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated equipment solutions and provide engineering support at manufacturing sites.
What you'll need
- Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor, vacuum coating, or precision automation equipment.
- Experience in equipment development, controls engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering.
- Expertise in Siemens PLC programming (S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for electrical schematics, I/O design, cabinet layout, and wiring documentation.
- Strong experience integrating vacuum gauges, turbomolecular pump controllers, RF power supplies, servo drives, and temperature control systems.
- Professional English skills for technical documentation and engineering collaboration.
