Principal Engineer Software

Overview

Serve as a Principal Engineer Software responsible for embedded system software development and validation, product architecture, engineering practices, and overall product quality.

What you'll do

• Contribute to project requirements elicitation and definition.
• Contribute to product architecture.
• Develop and institutionalize development and validation strategies.
• Evaluate product change requests and derive planning impacts.
• Review requirements, architecture, and design artefacts.
• Act as a signoff stakeholder across project phases.
• Mentor colleagues and own overall product quality.

What you'll need

• Minimum 15 years of embedded system software development or validation experience.
• B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, or MS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Instrumentation.
• Experience with C, assembly languages, and SDLC.
• System-level architecture, design, and integration skills.
• Knowledge of 16/32-bit microcontroller architecture and real-time systems.
• Working knowledge of PLS or Lauterbach debuggers and standard laboratory equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a multisite team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AUTOSAR, IEC61508, ISO26262, or ISO21434.
• Familiarity with GNU, Tasking, or WINDRIVER toolchains.
• Active membership in open-source communities or technical forums.
